COR Health

COR One is an at-home inflammation monitoring device — the only device that measures Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR) from a single finger-prick blood drop and returns results in approximately 30 minutes. The workflow mirrors a glucose meter: a COR Mini Test Tube is loaded into the Smart Sample Station, a single blood drop is collected via lancet, and the tube is inserted into the COR One reader. An internal camera images the sample at intervals over the 30-minute cycle; data is transmitted via Wi-Fi to COR servers for calculation and returned to the user's web dashboard with trend graphs, a tagging journal, personalized AI insights, and COR ESR Age — a proprietary metric that converts inflammation readings into a biological age benchmark. COR One is not a mail-in kit, a broad lab panel, or a diagnostic device. It occupies a new product category — "at-home inflammation monitor" — that sits between consumer wearables (high frequency, proxy signals only) and clinical labs (precise biomarker, episodic and high-friction). The competitive wedge is frequency: at approximately $15 per test, COR One enables weekly measurement that mail-in hs-CRP kits ($49–99 per test, 5–7 day turnaround) cannot support, and wearables cannot replicate with any blood-based signal. The device purchase includes the COR One reader, Smart Sample Station, USB-C charger, full dashboard access, and Family Mode for multiple user profiles. COR Mini Test Tubes are the only ongoing consumable, available ad-hoc or on subscription. COR One chose ESR over CRP deliberately. ESR is a composite signal reflecting multiple inflammatory proteins (fibrinogen, immunoglobulins, and others), making it the "climate" of inflammation rather than CRP's "weather." CRP spikes from minor acute insults — a hard workout, a poor night's sleep — producing noise that obscures lifestyle trends. ESR's stability makes it the superior biomarker for weekly optimization tracking. COR One is FDA registered as a Class I medical device under product code JPH (21 CFR 864.6700), FSA/HSA eligible, and founded by Bob Messerschmidt, Apple Watch Platform Architect. An internal verification study (N=60) shows R=0.81 correlation with the gold-standard Wintrobe ESR method.
